Birthday Bonanza
Thank you to everyone who sent birthday wishes - 'twas much appreciated!
As anticipated, the Doctor managed to stop the universe from ending so that I could enjoy my birthday.
Such a good finale. Fezes are cool. And I am always most pleased by a bit of well thought out, tightly plotted wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey-ness. And huzzah that incongruous jacket wearing Doctor turned out to be deliberately incongruous. And my god how does Matt Smith manage to play old so well? I was initially unimpressed with the idea that the Doctor would be younger than me (it felt much the same as discovering that you're older than all the Blue Peter presenters) but I have been completely won over.
And when exactly did I become a massive Rory fangirl? Rory was so many kinds of awesome. "That's not how it works." "Yes it is." "...Yeah, it is." Wheeeeee! And the whole Lone Centurion bit made me wibble.
I still love River Song, but now I am very much afraid of her.
Multiple companions next season! And marriage not equaling the death of adventure! And the Orient Express! In space! With an Egyptian Goddess! And a Queen (fingers crossed for more Liz 10, Her Royal Highness of Badassdom)! Christmas cannot come soon enough.
